It all began in that tall tower that stood out in a city full of buildings.
That vibrant city overlooking the sea was in Cuba. In this city, so rich in history, I grew up alongside my teenage brother and my single mother who dedicated everything to her children.
I was a shy girl, blushing at the slightest things, and even back then, I loved perfection (influenced by a perfectionist father who lived far away).
Over time, the first loves arrived, university, best friends, a change of country (which, to be honest, made me blush even more). Then came marriage, motherhood, and the major blow, my biggest fear.
The breakdown of everything
Relationships, friends, work, life's vision, and many simultaneous losses that shattered me from within. But after months or years (who knows), I found myself closer to my true self.
At work, they would tell me, "you're too conservative", "you won't make money like that", "you need to do more treatments".
It seemed like a world that just wanted to make money when my real intention was to do right by my patients.
After a lot of reflection, training, and inner work, I began to be more "me", which helped empower me and do things my way (most of the time).
Thus, the idea of Minimalist Dentistry was born, bringing the basic concepts of Minimalism (simple, clean, intentional, without unnecessary frills) to a dentistry that addresses the root of the problems, that focuses on prevention, and goes beyond just treating the tooth.
It's a form of dentistry that empowers by removing all the unnecessary, highlighting what's essential.
There are many things that I am and many more that I would love to be.
I am very organized and advocate for a Minimalist lifestyle that I have adapted to my work philosophy.
My commitment is:
To help you, who are a mother like me, but also a woman, to achieve (contributing my bit, from my knowledge and experience) small impacts that in turn lead to significant changes, like the Butterfly Effect.
To inspire you, and in doing so, create a world of Empowered Mothers.
From a practical and realistic perspective.
My mission is to educate you in:
Minimalist Dentistry because it has taught me that, in many cases, the most effective solution is also the simplest and least invasive.
